Question: Can I reorganize my locker?

Answer:

Locker organization means the selection of folders you define in your locker. Your locker can contain files and/or folders and each locker folder can in turn contain files and/or subfolders. Initially your account has two locker folders, named Assignments and Handouts.

School Loop allows you to add, delete, and rename folders in your locker, but not to move files from one locker folder to another. This is a major annoyance and we've complained about it to School Loop. As things stand, the only way to get a file into another locker folder is to delete it from the original folder and upload it from your computer to a different folder.

How to add, delete, or rename folders

StepInstructionsExample or PictureNotes
1 Click the Resource Files button at the top right of your main web page.
2 You will see the files or folders in your locker.
3 To add a folder, hover over the Add Resources button. A drop-down list will appear. Select Folder and enter a name for the new locker.

Don't click the Add Resources button, just point at it.

If you change your mind, click the Cancel button instead.
4 To delete a folder, click the Delete button under it, then click the Submit button in the confirmation window. If you change your mind, click the Cancel button instead.
5 To rename a folder, click the Edit button under it, change the name shown in the Edit window, then click the Submit button. If you change your mind, click the Cancel button instead.
6 To add, delete, or rename folders within other folders, click a folder name (Handouts in this example) to go into the folder and change folders inside it.
7 When you are done reorganizing folders, click your name at the top of the page to return to your main web page. If you see a Return to Edit button in the top right, you can click it instead.
