Question: What versions of Easy Grade Pro are there?

Answer:

Easy Grade Pro 3.n

Old versions such as Easy Grade Pro 3.6 are fine for tracking grades but do not have the features to upload grades as described in these instructions. If you want to maintain a grades web page and have a version of Easy Grade Pro before version 4.0, click Ask for Help and submit a support request for an upgrade to version 4.0. Our tech support aide has the software and the license key for installation.

Easy Grade Pro 4.0

Palms Middle School has a site license for Easy Grade Pro version 4.0, so any teacher can have the software on their school Macintosh, school PC, and/or home computer.

Easy Grade Pro 4.1

We do not have a site license for Easy Grade Pro 4.1, although we may consider purchasing one. Individual copies cost $48. Computers with the latest operating systems need this version.

Easy Grade Pro 4.1 has one advantage over version 4.0 and one disadvantage.

Advantage: It runs on Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks), Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite), Windows 7, and presumably later OS versions as well.
Disadvantage: It's harder to find the File -> Email/Internet menu option, which is one of the steps required to update a grades web page. You have to hold the option key on a Macintosh or ALT key on a Windows PC, while clicking the @ icon or using the File menu, to reveal the options to create grade web pages or email grades.
We think that Edline, the maker of Easy Grade Pro, "hid" the previous Email/Internet menu choice because they want to emphasize their own grade-hosting service (which we don't subscribe to) over the do-it-yourself approach we use.
